Farm & EV Business Manager
Qualifications
- Have experience working on a farm with chickens, goats, pigs, crops, etc.
- Be creative, decisive, flexible, and willing to learn. This is a new organization, so it’s not for everyone.
- Have a heart for serving people experiencing chronic homelessness and making a real difference in their lives and future.
- High morals and strong character.
- Strong management skills, people skills, communication skills, and computer skills.
- Good problem-solving skills and a team player.
- Hard worker, attention to detail, organized, likes to work outside and get dirty.
- This is a full-time position and requires living at Eden Village as part of compensation.
- Be flexible and able to work at times after normal business hours and on weekends.
This is a farm, and also there are needs our neighbors have after hours.
Duties
- Contribute to our team in an excellent, efficient, and effective way towards working to make Tulsa be a city where no one sleeps outside.
- Responsible for the healing, safety, restoration, and growth of our residents, giving them real hope for their futures.
- Responsible to be creative in helping to develop new ways and programs to better serve our residents and fulfill our Mission, especially with EV businesses.
- Responsible to develop a culture of respect and love between residents, staff, volunteers, and service providers….doing what’s right while having fun in the process.
- Oversee all farm operations and working with the individual teams of neighbors with their EV businesses.
- Responsible for animal health and care, working with our neighbors in doing so.
- Responsible for care of our vegetables and plants grown at the farm, working with our neighbors who are working in this area.
- Responsible for maintaining all farm equipment in good working order.
- Responsible for marketing and selling of our products to the public, in person, online, and at local farmer’s markets.
- Meet and communicate with our Community Director and team at least weekly.
- Work towards developing good relationships with other non-profits in Tulsa serving the homeless population, working in collaboration with them.
- And the final, any other duties deemed necessary from the Chief Visionary, Community Director and/or Board.
This is a full-time position, living at the Eden Village property. Salary is dependent upon experience and qualifications, with benefits including:
- Free rent with bills paid on the property.
